LE CLEMENTINE ┐

Villa “ Le Clementine ” is situated in an oasis of peace and wellbeing, in the middle of a 12 hectare citrus orchard, on the slopes of mount Etna, with a breathtaking view of the sea from Catania to Taormina. The rooms are in a typical Sicilian house built in the early 20th Century, whose original structure with its wide arch-ceilings was restored by recycling the original materials.

From the entrance of the estate, the visitor is enraptured by the beauty and variedness of the typical Sicilian landscape so rich in contrasts. The main villa is built on top of a hill: on one slope there is a citrus orchard  with the old rural buildings, such as the “palmenti” where grapes were pressed to make wine. Opposite the house there is a terrace from where the visitor’s eye sweeps the sea and the coast where chestnut and oak woods and the rocky landscape with the cactus and the broom that grow on the 1928 stream of lava alternate. From the back of the house the visitor can enjoy the magnificent sight of the Mount Etna and the lucky ones can also witness one of the most beautiful shows in the world: the eruptions of the volcano.

The strategic position halfway between the sea and the mountain is the most attracting feature so that, beside the vegetation, the scent and the animals so rare in other places, one can really enjoy an healthy and comfortable holiday, plunged into the sounds of nature far from the caos of the city.

SEASON: open all year round. Weekly stay preferred.

ROOMS: 12 beads available, divided into three flats; every flat includes a double room, a sitting room with sofa/bed for 2 people. TV air conditioned, fridge and private WC available in every flat.

The view of the sea can be enjoyed from all the rooms.

The whole estate is at the client’s complete disposal; guests can also enjoy the relaxing audio video hall, the panoramic terrace with the view of the sea, the solarium and use the car park.

Excursions on the highest volcano in Europe, Mount Etna, escorted by experienced guides.

Four hour trekking, to find one of the most beautiful attractions of our volcano: PIAN DEL VESCOVO - ACQUA ROCCA DEGLI ZAPPINI - SERRA DEL SALIFIZIO.

Canyoning with experts guides with the needed outfit (wetsuit, helmet, boat) to find the world of water and rocks, with slides, dives and descents by rope into the crystal-clear water of the untouched and inaccessible places of the amazing gole dell’Alcantara (Alcantara canyon).

Sightseeing tours to Siracusa, Agrigento, P.zza Armerina, where you arrive in about 1 hour.

Horseriding on the beach.

Golf. Golf lovers can enjoy the 18 holes golf course “Il Picciolo”, a few kilometres away from the estate in a volcanic valley.

Tour of the most important towns around Mount Etna, by the typical Circumetnea railway.
